Major: Mechanical Engineering & Mechanics
Minor: Engineering Management
Pre-Junior (anticipated graduation, June 2009)

"The road to success is always under construction."
-My little orange traffic cone

It is an honor to receive the Exelon Scholarship.

Why I chose engineering:
A passion for math and science convinced me to be an engineer. I didn't know what I was getting myself into until I began courses here at Drexel. I can honestly say that I wouldn't change my decision for a million dollars! I realized that in addition to the basic concepts of math and science, there are other aspects of engineering such as creativity, problem solving, and team management skills that are just as important.

Co-Op Experience:
For my first co-op I worked at the Philadelphia International Airport on the Terminals D-E Expansion and Modernization Project. I received a wide range of experience including: field, design, inspection, and office work. I was exposed to each concentration of engineering and I was able to interact on-site with project managers, contractors, and engineers. It was a great experience and gave me a broad knowledge of what I want to do with my future.

Future Plans:
My future plans consist of obtaining my Bachelor of Science in Engineering at Drexel University and furthering my education to receive my masters and/or doctorate's degree. I plan to become a certified P.E. and become a CEO of a Fortune 500 Company. I'm interested in the design aspect of engineering, but I enjoy the research, inspection, and fieldwork too. I want to get married after graduation, design a beautiful house, raise children, and live happily ever after.

Campus Involvement:
Member of Pennoni Honors College, undergraduate lab research, teaching assistant, intramural sports supervisor, club soccer team captain, member of the Society of Women Engineers, certified soccer official, orientation coordinator, volunteer work, CEO accreditation

Advice:
My advice to students is to get involved. To get the most out of your education and experience at Drexel, challenge yourself to do your best and expand your horizons. It's just like the cliche goes, you get out of life what you put into it. There are a lot of rewarding experiences that offered, you just have to excel to reach them.
