U.S.News & World Report has recently announced their "America's Best Graduate Schools 2008" rankings.The Mechanical Engineering Department was ranked 50th in the nation.

The College of Engineering overall ranked 55th, up six points from last year and up 13 points from 2000. Drexel’s CoE tied alongside Colorado State University, Michigan State University, SUNY Stony Brook and the University of Utah. Just ahead of Drexel were: Univ. Mass.-Amherst (#54), Brown (#53), Notre Dame (#52).
