Mechanical Engineering and Mechanics professor Dr. Wei Sun has been selected to be one of four total speakers/representatives at the 2nd NSF - NSFC Joint Workshop on Frontiers of Manufacturing Science and Engineering at the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, Nebraska from October 19th-20th, 2009.

With around 30 invited participants, and only 8 speakers (4 from the US and 4 from China), Dr. Sun was recommended by Prof. Shaochen Chen (NSF) and Prof. Xianfan Xu (Purdue University).
