David Staack has accepted a tenure-track faculty position at Texas A&M in their Mechanical Engineering Department starting January 2009.
David joined Drexel upon completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia and his master’s at Princeton University. At Drexel, David has been pursuing research into novel micro- and nano- scale plasma discharges for applications in materials fabrication and biomedicine at the A. J. Drexel Plasma Institute under the supervision of Drs. Baki Farouk (Advisor) and Alex Fridman (co-Advisor). While at Drexel David has been recipient of an NSF IGERT fellowship in nanotechnology and a Koerner Family Fellowship. At Texas A&M, David plans to establish his own laboratory focusing on plasma engineering and applications.
