MEM Senior Design Team Places 4th in 2005 ASME Student Mechanism Design Competition

One of Drexel University's very own 2005 Senior Design teams won 4th place at the 2005 ASME International Design Engineering Technical Conference Student Mechanism Design Competition.

Under the guidance of their advisor, Dr. Paul Oh (Assistant Professor, MEM), the team was able to attend the conference and present at the competition their Senior Design project entitled, "A MedEvac Extraction Device".

Competing against 17 other teams from across the country, Zachary Sabato, Jonathan Sente, Sajeel Shiromani, and David Williams' hard work and participation paid off in a 4th place finish against Virginia Tech and Johns Hopkins and also brought national attention to Drexel's Senior Design program.

This event is designed to showcase cutting edge research and accomplishments, and to enrich the educational experience in these fields.
