MEM Doctoral Student Wins Link Fellowship
MEM PhD student, Teeranoot Chanthasopeephan, has been selected as a recipient of the prestigious Link Foundation Fellowship. Her fellowship was given in the area of soft-tissue modeling for surgical simulation.

Administered by the Institute for Simulation & Training at the University of Central Florida, The Link Foundation awards up to five fellowships per year to qualified doctoral students in US academic institutions with each grant totaling $25,000.

The objective of the fellowship is to foster advanced level study and training research; to enhance and expand the theoretical and practical knowledge of how to train the operators and users of complex systems and how to simulate the real-world environments in which they function; and to disseminate the results of that research through lectures, seminars, and publications.

The Link program, since 1990, has awarded more than 60 fellowships to qualifying doctoral students studying in the simulation and training field at US academic institutions.
