Engineering Undergraduates Attend 2005 Technical Symposium

Nine students from Drexel were invited to attend the 2005 Technical Symposium in picturesque South Beach Miami, Florida at the Eden Roc Resort from February 3-5. The Symposium was designed to showcase the manifold areas of scholastic research currently taking place in universities around the country. Current research participants were invited to hear prominent keynote speakers including Dr. Julian Earls, director of the NASA Glenn Research Center and Dr. Calvin Mackie, nationally recognized motivational speaker. In addition to the excellent keynote presentations, students had the opportunity to attend a number of workshops focused on topics ranging from life after graduation to entrepreneurial opportunities as an engineer.

Every student presented a poster of current research to over one hundred attendees including undergraduates, graduate students, faculty from various universities and Tech Symposium coordinators. Drexel participants, major and research topics (italicized) included:
