Drexel University's Formula SAE team brought home a 5th place finish from the 2005 UK Formula SAE event known as Formula Student.
The international event invites schools from all over the world to present and race their Formula SAE cars over the four day competition. Competing against 70 other schools, the Drexel team was also the top ranking U.S. team of those attending the competition.
Students attending the UK competition include: Mark Fiorentino - Materials Engineering; Gary Mazzone - Mathematics; Justin Parambath - Mechanical Engineering; Matthew Williamson - Mechanical Engineering; Kerry Loux - Mechanical Engineering; Eric Moyer - Mechanical Engineering; Jason Greenblatt - Mechanical Engineering; Mike Stichter - Mechanical Engineering and Matthew Jarvis- Mechanical Engineering.
This was the first year that Drexel's Formula SAE team took on the challenge of competing in the UK competition in addition to the regular Formula SAE competition held each May in Detroit, Michigan. Together with the 21st overall finish in Detroit, this team has created one of the highest ranking Formula SAE cars that Drexel has built to date.
