MEM Student Dan Hanna Selected for Harvard Business School 2006

Summer Venture in Management Program

Dan Hanna, a fifth year MEM student, was accepted into the Harvard Business School’s 2006 Summer Venture in Management Program, which runs from Saturday, June 24 - Friday, June 30, 2006.

The Harvard Business School (HBS) Summer Venture in Management Program (SVMP) is a one week management training program for rising college seniors designed to increase diversity and opportunity in business education. Using the renowned case method of instruction, HBS faculty lead class discussions on current management issues. Participants spend evenings analyzing real-business cases, and use morning study groups and classes to examine and debate their ideas through lively interaction with peers and faculty. The academic program is supplemented by presentations from HBS administrators and alumni who provide information about the impact that an MBA degree can have on their lives and careers.

Participants are selected based on academic achievement, demonstrated leadership, and personal characteristics. Academic studies in the field of business are not necessary for selection in this program.
