Research Award Announcement! The Graduate Student Excellence Committee seeks nominations of Drexel University graduate students (full-time masters and doctoral) who have performed outstanding research/scholarship in THE PAST YEAR (May 2008 to now) for certificates of recognition and monetary awards, to be handed out on Graduate Student Day (May 7).
The dossier for each nomination must include the following information:
• Graduate student’s name and the department/program in which the student is enrolled
• Graduate student’s CV with details of papers published, presentations made and conferences attended, if any
• A letter from a referee/supervisor stating the reasons for nominating this particular student with details of the student's achievements this past year
• An endorsement note from the department/program’s graduate advisor or director/head
Nominations (each to be placed in a single pdf file) should be sent to Teck-Kah Lim, Associate Vice Provost, Graduate Studies at limtk@drexel.edu or submitted in hardcopy to the Graduate Studies Office (Randell 240). Deadline: April 23, '09.
Summer Workshop for those interested in applying for FellowshipsThe Drexel Fellowships Office, in cooperation with the Pennoni Honors College and the Office of Graduate Studies, will be offering a 3-part Summer Workshop for students of any discipline or degree level who are interested in applying for competitive national and international fellowships with fall deadlines, and who are eligible to do so in 2009. This includes, but is not limited to, awards such as:

Students who might be good candidates for these awards will generally be rising seniors, seniors, and grad students of any level who have strong academic credentials as well as evidence of leadership, engagement, and character.

Nominations for Mentor and Staff of the Year Award The Graduate Student Association is pleased to announce two awards which will be given to a faculty and a staff member who excelled in mentoring and helping graduate students. To nominate candidates for this award, please follow the following guidelines found at http://www.drexel.edu/provost/graduatestudies/news/2009-3-09_MentorandStaff_Nominations.html. Deadline to submit your nominations is April 24th by 5pm.
