After graduating from Drexel in 1984, Michael Crilly followed a traditional path and worked as an engineer for 14 year. During his time as a practicing engineer, Mike decided to go back to school to study patent law, which would enable him to apply his undergraduate education and technical expertise, while pursuing new ambitions.
In 1997, Mike opened a law firm in Hatboro, PA. and simultaneously, co-founded Lexon Technologies, a company which develops technology for security, defense and humanitarian uses.
In April of 2003, Mike was inducted into the Space Technology Hall of Fame, recognizing his individual contributions in developing a Humanitarian De-mining Device. The LexonTM Demining Flare uses rocket fuel to produce a low-thrust, high-temperature flame that effectively burns out the explosive fill in landmines before detonation.
