President of Aerojet Fine Chemicals, a division of GenCorp, a major aerospace/defense contractor specializing in propulsion, smart munitions, electronic systems, and fine chemicals. Dr. Carleone leads a growing GenCorp business which develops, scale-up and produces Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API's) and intermediates for the pharmaceutical industry.

Prior to his current role, Dr. Carleone was the Vice President for Operations and Remote Sensing at Aerojet. As VP for Operations, he led a 2,000-person organization at three major locations representing over $540 million in annual sales.

Dr. Carleone has published over 45 articles and edited a book entitled Tactical Missle Warheads. Dr. Carleone is a long-time member of the A.J. Drexel Society.
